Um mês depois, tempo de fazer uma actualização neste blog.
Tenho estado ocupado com trabalhos para pagar contas e que ao mesmo tempo garantem o nível de stress e desespero suficientes para querer fugir mais uma vez para o branco de uma página de BD e para um mundo em que as regras são controladas por mim e não outros.
Por causa destes compromissos tenho adiado os trabalhos no segundo volume do meu projecto Defier e de outras aventuras, mas espero inverter essa situação dentro em breve, para bem da minha sanidade mental.
Entretanto, nem tudo são más notícias.
Recentemente, em seguimento da contribuição para o Atomic Robo, fiz também um pin-up para o outro projecto do Scott Wegener,
Killer of Demons, escrito por Christopher Yost e editado pela Image Comics, pin-up que coloco aqui quando puder.
Ainda, no próximo fim de semana vou estar no
Festival Internacional de BD de Beja a apresentar o 1º capítulo do Defier e a divertir-me com o pessoal, o bom tempo (espero eu) e a boa vida do Alentejo.
É o segundo ano que o estúdio vai em digressão para Beja e, depois de encontrar por lá o Dave Mckean no ano passado, acabei de saber hoje que este ano o
Craig Thompson vai lá estar a dar autógrafos e a apresentar originais.
O próximo fim de semana promete!
Por enquanto é tudo. Estou a fazer os possíveis por me livrar dos “compromissos comerciais” para poder me poder concentrar no que me dá gozo mais à frente.

One month later, time to update this blog.
I've been busy with jobs to pay the bills and which, at the same time, ensure the right level of stress and despair to make me want to run away into the white of a sequential page and into a world where the rules are mine and not anyone else’s.
Because of these commitments I’ve been postponing the progress on the second volume of my project Defier and of other endeavours, but I hope to turn that around soon, for the sake of my mental health.
Meanwhile, not all bodes ill lately.
Recently, following my contribution to Atomic Robo, I also made a pin-up for another project from Scott Wegener,
Killer of Demons, written by Christopher Yost and published by Image Comics, which I’ll post here when possible.
Also, next weekend I’ll be at the
International Comics Festival of Beja presenting the first chapter from Defier and having fun with the friends, the good weather (I hope) and the Alentejo good life.
This is the second year the studio travels down to Beja and, after bumping into Dave Mckean last year, I’ve just learned that
Craig Thompson will be there signing books and presenting originals.
Next weekend promises to be good!
That’s it for now. I’m doing what I can to ditch these “commercial commitments” to get to the good stuff later on.
