Vi uma experiência parecida no Blog "O Degrau" e decidi experimentar à minha maneira... (asmum, espero q não te importes que eu subverta um pouco a tua ideia...). Não sei até que ponto se poderá numa actividade regular neste espaço.

Para começar, uma música que me acompanhou bastante no ano passado, durante uma ressaca amorosa... A imagem é um esboço digital feito em 15 minutos.


I saw an experience like this one on the Blog "O Degrau" and decided to try it my way... (asmum, I hope you don't mind me subverting your idea...). I don't know how much of a regular feature this could become or not.

Starting off, a tune which accompanied me a lot last year, during a love hangover... The image is a 15 minutes digital sketch.

I don't paint enough. These are the last couple of paintings I've finished. Unfortunately, these are a year old. Sometimes, I'd like to have a second life just to dream stuff up on canvas...

Dia do Pai | Father's Day

Este será provavelmente o único apontamento pessoal que este Blog alguma vez terá.
Hoje, dia do Pai, depois de mês e meio de cuidados hospitalares e cerca de 5 anos de sofrimento, o meu Avô Paterno, Manuel António Venâncio, foi a enterrar no cemitério da Ajuda. Não vou tecer comentários ou desabafar sobre o que senti desde que recebi a notícia, ontem de manhã. Não acho apropriado fazê-lo neste espaço. A única coisa que gostaria de deixar registada é que tudo na minha vida passou a têr outra urgência, o tempo que tenho aqui é curto demais para se escapar nos meus dedos sem mais nem menos e tenho muita coisa para fazer, entre outras, seguir o exemplo do meu Avô (dos meus Avós, para não sêr injusto com o Mestre Adelino, o meu Avô Materno, falecido há alguns anos), e criar uma família da maneira que eles o fizeram.
E assim termina este interlúdio emocional. De volta à Arte.


This will probably be the only personal note this Blog will ever have.
Today, Father's Day, after a month and a half of hospital care and about 5 years of suffering, my Father's Father, Manuel António Venâncio, was laid to rest on the Ajuda cemitary. I won't dive into personal comments about what I felt since receiving the news, yesterday morning. It's not appropriate for this space, in my opinion. The only thing I would like to give notice of is that everything in my life has gained a new urgency, the time I have here is too short to let it run through my fingers just like that and that I have a whole lot of things to accomplish, one of them being, to follow my Grandfather's example( both my Grandfathers, not to be unfair towards Master Adelino, my Grandfather on my Mother's side, deceased some years ago), and to raise a family the way they managed to.
And thusly, I conclude this emotional interlude. Back to the Art.

Uma semana de 2dePaus | A week of 2dePaus

Faz hoje uma semana que entrei nesta moda de "blogar" um pouco às cegas e espero manter este espaço durante muito tempo. Tenho aprendido a mexer na apresentação do blog(com muita experimentação à mistura, muitas tentativas), e assim que terminar alguns trabalhos esta semana, pretendo retocar alguns aspectos para pôr este sítio mais ao meu gosto.
Comecei ontem por pôr um contador e fazer outras pequenas alterações. Para a semana, vamos ver...


A week ago, a little in the dark, I got on this "blogging" trend and I hope to keep this place going for a long time. I've been learning how to mess around with presentation (with a lot of experimentation thrown in the mix, a lot of trial and error), and as soon as I finish a couple of things this week, I plan on touching up some aspects in order to make this place more to my liking.
I started yesterday by placing a hit counter and making some small adjustments. Next week, who knows...

As figuras retratadas pertencem todas à vida pública, por isso, para quem não as reconhece, espero que apreciem outras qualidades nas ilustrações.

este esboço era para têr sido feito para o Dia Internacional da Mulher, mas não cheguei a fazê-lo a tempo de o colocar no Drawing Board, um excelente fórum de Artes onde estou filiado. Apesar disso, gostei da ideia e vou acabá-lo de qualquer maneira.


this sketch was meant for the International Day of Women (I think that's the right translation), but I couldn't sketch it in time to post it on the Drawing Board, an excellent Arts forum I'm registered in. However, I liked the idea, so I decided to finish it anyway.
